Nations Senior Most
African American Executive Leaders Meet
for Annual Activities Recognizing Corporate Diversity
WHAT: The Executive Leadership Council will
host their annual CEO Summit. The summit convenes
member company CEOs and Council members for a half-day,
"top-to-top" Summit that focuses on issues
of diversity in corporate America. Participants come
from a wide variety of industries to share and discuss
issues, insights, concerns, and best practices for making
the business case for diversity a force of strength
and productivity globally.
The Executive Leadership Council will also host their
2008 Annual Recognition Dinner. The theme of
this year's dinner is Diversity Leadership: The Wealth
of Our Nation and will honor Ernest Green, Ingrid
Saunders Jones, and ExxonMobil for their
commitment to diversity. Dinner guests will include
emcees James "JB" Brown and Soledad
O'Brien with entertainment by special music guests
Deniece Williams and Fourplay.
The lead sponsor for this year's dinner is PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The supporting dinner sponsor is Verizon
and the contributing dinner sponsors are Caterpillar,
HP, JPMorgan Chase and MasterCard Worldwide.
In addition, the Council will host their 14th
Annual Mid-Level Managers' Symposium. The symposium
helps African American corporate mid-level managers
develop the professional, personal, and intellectual
skills necessary to excel in the corporate arena. Panels
comprised of the Council members, CEOs, and other leaders
engage in dynamic, open discussions and learning activities,
moderated by experts in the field of executive leadership
development and diversity management. This year's keynote
speakers will be Donna Brazile (invited) Angela
McGlowan (confirmed) and The PepsiCo Foundation
sponsors the event along with The Principal
Financial Group and ING.

of the most senior African-American corporate executives
