Currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oxen Hill Partners, specialists in Leadership Development Programs and Brand Enhancement Strategies and located in Boston, MA. Heard has served as the Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the Points of Light Foundation, organized to perpetuate President George Bush's (#41) idea to make volunteerism central to the life of every American. She served two terms as the Chairman of the Board and remains as a member today, serving as a member of the Executive Committee. President Bush serves as the Honorary Chairman. She is also a Founding Member of MENTOR/the National Mentoring Partnership and serves as the Chairman of 1000 WOMEN FOR MENTORING, a national initiative to "help us help more kids." Heard also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Presidents’ Summit for America's Future which was Co-Chaired by Presidents Clinton and Bush, with participation by all Presidents. Mrs. Heard is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport with an Associate's Degree; the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Business; an M.Ed. Degree from Springfield College in Education and Community Leadership and has also completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, focusing on Economics and Social Policy.
