African-American
mother-daughter team launch nutritional and weight
loss program -The Rennix Weigh - targeted to multicultural
community
The Rennix Weigh's inspiration
- Nia Rennix - is featured in the November/December
issue of Looking Good Magazine for her dramatic weight
loss of 115 pounds.

The Rennix Weigh, co-founded by Dr. Bobbie Rennix
and her daughter nutritionist Annie 'Nia' Rennix,
is helping more and more people of all backgrounds,
and especially African Americans lose weight with
their soul food inspired recipes, mother/sister style
motivation and comprehensive plan for nutrition and
weight loss in diverse communities. The Rennix Weigh
(www.therennixway.com) is now hailed as one of the
best kept secrets in the world of weight loss for
many African Americans and some Latinos who struggle
to find weight loss programs that truly include the
very tasty Southern-inspired and Latino-influenced
food combinations and recipes that they enjoy in their
household and culture.
Dr. Bobbie Rennix, a veteran educator who hails from
Alabama, says "I grew up with the soulful, tasty
recipes of the South, and now with Nia, I show others
how to make those recipes just as tasty but with less
calories and fat. Also, I help people make better
food choices without sacrificing the foods they love
because I know exactly what they are used to and what
foods they need to change."
Nia Rennix developed the highly effective Rennix
Weigh weight loss plan in the midst of her own long-time
struggle with weight. She once battled with obesity
as well as a rare medical disorder that altered her
insulin levels and caused extreme weight gain and
darkened pigmentation of her skin. At one point, Nia
was 5 feet tall, almost 300 pounds with severe discoloration
of her neck and disappointed that doctors and other
weight loss programs could help her lose weight. Nia
began to research how food affected her body and designed
a solution, the Rennix Weigh, that not only work for
her but others with weight issues.
The Rennix Weigh plan includes eating controlled
portions of natural foods such as whole grains, vegetables,
fruit and lean protein - which includes healthy recipes
from salmon cakes and baked chicken to smothered cabbage
and savory collard greens and more.
After years on the Rennix Weigh, Nia has successful
maintained a healthy weight for her 5 ft, petite frame.
"As African Americans, while we enjoy the foods
of our heritage, from fried chicken and giblet gravy
to macaroni and cheese and pound cake, I encourage
everyone to consider our plan to help them lose their
excess weight and maintain a healthy and nutritious
lifestyle. " says Nia Rennix.
The Rennix Weigh program, now offered nationally
via www.therennixweigh.com,
is building even more momentum and excitement with
the release of its much requested Mobile Plan - "the
Rennix Weigh to Go" Plan . This new Rennix Weigh
program, with online information and phone support,
offers people on the go a new support system and an
alternative method to traditional walk in programs.
