Top 31: Black/African American News Sources: The results are in

The list of highly recognized Black/African American news sources who cover national and in some cases regional or topical interest news have been compiled by UnityFirst.com and Total Image Communications, based on feedback by readers.  Again, the submissions include a variety of media, from national news sources to regional favorites. Also, it includes a range of media from black newspapers to national magazines to web sites, direct email newslines, television sources and radio shows/hosts.

According to a recent Yankelovich report, ethnic consumers are considerably more receptive to marketing and advertising messages than their peers.  The simple fact is that most ethnic media are far underutilized and this must change .During one diversity symposium where Black Enterprise announced its list of Best Companies for Diversity, a panelist noted, “Corporate America has to do more work to reach a truly diverse audience.” In addition, another report, “Race, Relevance and Revenue: Insights on the African American Marketplace," documented the following: “Media is the master of multicultural marketing and multicultural consumers love multicultural media.”

Let’s re-confirm our outreach to diverse, multicultural press and engage audiences of all backgrounds, more deeply and with consistency.
