---"Beyond the Steps"--- premieres on Documentary Channel for the first time Sunday, Feb. 21 and follows Alvin Ailey's American Dance Theater during a pivotal time in its history as the company ventures abroad while establishing new roots at home in New York City. ---NAACP Timeline---
The NAACP and the Verizon Foundation has unveiled a multimedia web site featuring the story of the civil rights organization and the first interactive timeline of Black history. The web site, the NAACP Interactive Historical Timeline, is funded through a $500,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation and is being launched in conjunction with Black History Month.  Through highlighting NAACP involvement, the timeline opens an important window on American history.  Each point on the timeline includes a written narrative, historic video or photos as well an audio narrative read by a celebrity such as Laurence Fishburne.

---American Airlines honors African-American Aviation Pioneers---
American Airlines has a new virtual museum, BlacksinAviation.com, that explores the history of African Americans in aviation from pre-civil rights to the present. The virtual museum highlights the challenges and accomplishments of African-American aviation professionals, including the struggle for racial equality in commercial airlines, the military and aerospace. Some of today's most accomplished aviators assisted American Airlines with Blacks in Aviation, including NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, who was chosen to lead the aerospace agency in 2008 and members of the Tuskegee Airmen.

General Nutrition Centers, Inc. (GNC), a leading global retailer of nutritional products, announced that it, together with its parent company, has entered into a memorandum of understanding to form a strategic partnership with Bright Food (Group) Co., LTD (Bright Food). The partnership, to be named GNC China, will participate in China's nutritional products market. Bright Food, a leading state-owned conglomerate in China's food industry, is a direct subsidiary of Shanghai Municipal government and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government.  Shanghai Yantang Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bright Food, will be responsible for undertaking the collaboration with GNC. "Based on our research on the nutrition industry in China, GNC believes there are significant growth opportunities in the PRC marketplace. ---CVS/pharmacy enters Puerto Rico---
 CVS/pharmacy, the nation's leading retail pharmacy, announced that it will open nine stores in Puerto Rico in 2010.  The first two locations, in San Juan and Bayamon, will officially opened Monday, February 15.
