---Georgetown University launches Diversity Management concentration---
Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies is offering a Master’s Degree in Professional Studies and Advanced Professional Certificates with concentrations in International Human Resources Management, Diversity Management and Strategic Human Capital Management. The Diversity Management concentration is the most cutting edge and innovative in the country. Earlier this year, noted diversity authority and thought leader Dr. Christopher Metzler met with Todd Corley, VP/Diversity & Inclusion – Abercrombie & Fitch to discuss the idea of establishing a comprehensive education and practice in a field that many organizations are still working to understand and learn how to incorporate it into their business processes. Together, the two presented the lifelong work of Dr. Metzler to Georgetown knowing that the university was the best positioned to promote this work. According to Dr. Metzler, "Given Georgetown’s mission, its innovation and its proven reputation for excellence, I am excited to join the faculty." Dr. Metzler, who has joined the School of Continuing Studies as Associate Dean, said, “We look forward to welcoming a diverse cohort of students this Fall. Our students will be the next generation of leaders who define the practice of HR and Diversity.” Corley added, “As a Georgetown Alumnus and a diversity practitioner, I am excited about what this means for the diversity profession and I look forward to challenging myself and others on how to make organizations successfully manage diversity as a critical business issue.” The program has been created with the need of working adults in mind and as such has flexible full and part time options. Admissions are on a rolling basis and students can apply immediately at http://www12.georgetown.edu/scs/hr/. For more information, read the full story on UnityFirst.com .
